2015年度英文热词大盘点！

据外媒报道，英国柯林斯词典在线网站近期公布了包括"Dadbod"，"Bingewatch"，"ghosting"，"clean eating" ，"shaming"等在内的2015年度十大热词，下面就让我们一起来了解一下吧。

Binge-watch
词典释义：to watch a large number of television programmes (especially all the shows from one series) in succession.
连续大量观看电视节目（尤其是一季电视剧的全部剧集），也可贴切地译为“煲剧”、“刷剧”。
相信大家有同样的体会，自从有了网络以后，人们看剧习惯发生巨大改变，还有谁会乖乖坐在电视机前，一天一集苦等电视剧呢，都等网上“养肥了”再看。
于是，在煲剧一族的推动下，binge-watch一词当选了柯林斯词典的2015年年度热词。Binge-watch并非最近才造出的词（new coinage），它在上世纪90年代已经开始使用。Binge一词的意思是狂欢作乐、无节制的狂热行为。所以，binge-watch就是疯狂看剧。除此之外，Binge-viewing或marathon-viewing可表达同样的意思。

Transgender 变性人
词典释义：of or relating to a person whose gender identity does not fully correspond to the sex assigned to them at birth.
“变性人”指的是那些已经通过手术改变了自己原本生理性别的人。
"Transgender" has also made it on to the list, with the increased exposure of public figures such as Caitlyn Jenner contributing to a doubling of the word's usage.
随着凯特琳·詹纳（Caitlyn Jenner）等公众人物的曝光度增加，这一词汇的使用频率翻了一番。
Gender本意为性别，而trans则为前缀，意为跨越，穿越。例如transform 改变；transmission 传输。

Dadbod 老爹肚
词典释义：an untoned and slightly plump male physique, esp one considered attractive.
2015年许多外国人都在社交媒体上讨论"Dadbod"这个词。这一词语被用来形容微胖、有点啤酒肚的人。美国女生在网站上写了一篇”为何女孩爱Dadbod“的文章,让全世界知道了“Dadbod”这种新萌物。

Manspreading 大爷式占座
词典释义：The act or an instance of a male passenger in a bus or train splaying his legs in a way that denies space to the passenger sitting next to him.
这个词指的是公交车或地铁里的男乘客双腿大张，霸占座位，使得别的乘客无法坐他的邻座的行为或现象。

Clean eating 清洁饮食
词典释义：A diet of "clean eating" refers to one which avoids processed foods and is heavy in raw and unrefined produce.
“清洁饮食”这种饮食方式指的是不吃加工食品，大量摄入生的、未经加工的天然农产品。

Ghosting 玩失踪的分手方式
词典释义：Ending a relationship by ignoring all communication from the other person.
以彻底忽视对方一切消息的方式结束一段恋情。（等于直接拉黑。）
Ghost有鬼魂之意，因此在这里引申为来无影，去无踪，找不到人。

词典释义：Attempting to embarrass a person or group by drawing attention to their perceived offence, especially on social media.

词典释义：The economic policies advocated by the UK Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
英国工党领袖杰里米·科尔宾主张的经济政策。
The landslide of coverage of Jeremy Corbyn's successful campaign for leadership of the UK Labour Party catapulted this new word into the list of words of 2015.
媒体对杰里米·科尔宾成功当选英国工党领袖一事铺天盖地的报道使这个新词一跃进入2015热词榜单。

Swipe 滑动
词典释义：to move a finger across a touchscreen on an electronic device as a means of inputting a command
因手机交友软件“Tinder”火起来的新动词。意思是根据交友软件显示的头像,用手指在手机屏上滑动,(向右滑)表示“喜欢”,(向左滑)则为“跳过”。期待我们的微信有一天也会具备这样的功能。

Contactless
词典释义：referring to payment systems which use RFID technology and do not require the customer's signature or pin number
形容一种支付技术,利用RFID(射频识别),客户无需输入密码或签名即可直接付款。
Contactless Card，中文翻译为非接触式卡或非接触式智能卡。它并不是指隔空刷钱出去啦，而是指消费者不再需要输入Pin（密码），将卡放置在相应的端口上直接付款，简单理解就像刷公交卡（Oyster Card）一样不需要输入密码，放在读卡区上，几秒钟即可完成￡20以下的支付。可以帮助用户省去找零与输入密码的麻烦环节。近一段时间，随着地铁和公交车上非接触式卡的投入使用，它的发展更迅速啦。是不是跟我们的二维码支付有异曲同工之妙。
