What is the best way to convert PDF to TXT to Excel to convert it to MDX?

Or, what are the usual way of converting?

Always a challenge to work with PDF files.

It depends on how the PDF is formatted. You can convert the file to HTML if it has a clear structure.

Acrobat is excellent, as well as Calibre, if you prefer graphic interface.

Pandoc is a command line program, with which you can covert text files quite easily between different formats.
