―を格助詞<p>1 【動作の対象】<p>a. （他動詞の目的語で表す）<br>水を飲む drink water.
顔を洗う wash one's face.
彼の腕をつかむ hold him by the arm / hold his arm (!前の方は人に, 後の方は「腕」に焦点を当てた言い方)
b. （自動詞(+副詞)+前置詞で表す）<br>音楽を聞く listen to music.
私をあざ笑う laugh at me.
彼を待つ wait for him.
睡眠不足を取り戻す catch up on one's sleep.
そのドレスはとても似合っているけどその髪を何とかしなくちゃね You look so nice in the dress, but we have to do something with that hair. (!with は「～に関して」の意. この we は you の持つつき離した感じを避けるために用いられる)
c. （他動詞+副詞で表す）<br>明かりをつける[消す] turn òn [òff] the líght (!｟英｠ では普通 turn の方に第2強勢が移る) tùrn the líght on [off]. (!目的語が代名詞のときは tùrn it ón [óff] の語順のみ可)
2 【動作の起点】<br>席を立つ stand up [｟書｠ rise] from one's seat.
故郷[国]を離れる leave home [one's country].
3 【移動を示す】<br>角を曲がる turn the corner.
山道を登る climb [go up] the mountain path.
川を渡る cross the river.
4 【場所を示す】<br>公園[川岸]を散歩する take a walk in a park [along a riverbank].
国中を旅する travel all over the country.
5 【経過する時間・通過する場所を示す】<br>銀行のそばを通り過ぎる go past a bank.
雑誌を読んで半日を過ごす spend half a day reading magazines.
5時を回ったところだ It's just past five.
