朗文高阶似有一处错误

在查询verdict一词时在朗文高阶第五版（在第六版和网页版均如此）看见这样一个例句：

uphold a verdict (=officially say that it was right)
This verdict was upheld at appeal.

其中的at appeal似乎应当写作on appeal？
在牛津、柯林斯及其它词典全文检索，均没有出现at appeal的用法，粗略谷歌了一下，似乎也没有这样的用法。
求大神指点一二。

从众多例子看，on appeal中的on并非upon表示的“...之后”的意思，而是“在...中”。
但是，FT杂志的这篇报道则恰恰证明on就是after的意思。
总之，on appeal的用法比较乱。还等有关专业人士澄清。

根据下面这些法律专业表述，on appeal并不表示when或in the process of的意思，应该就是“上诉”或“上诉审理”，重点在行为或程序，而阶段或时间的含义并不明显。

at appeal = at the stage/period of appeal
初审法院给出判决，某当事方不服，提出上诉，结果上诉法院支持原判。也就是说，初审判决在上诉阶段得到了支持。

On appeal似乎也是类似的意思，牛津有意思相近的例句：

On appeal, it was held that the judge was correct.

朗文可能恰好选了一个比较少见的语料吧

朗文可能恰好选了一个比较少见的语料吧

1. 原文引用可能有问题。
2. 如果的确是用at appeal，侧重阶段和时间段，甚至at appeal court的可能性大（英文原文文风比较随意）。
截图之一源自美联社，应该不会存在拼写错误，即at appeal （错误）/ an appeal (正确)。

另外，LDOCE在线好像at appeal仅出现过一次；而appeal court有这种说法，仅供楼主参考。

on等普通介词的用法的确非常繁杂难懂。
on的一个常见用法就是：
indicating the state or in the process of ...
MWCD也对on appeal给出了解释：

e.g.: Her conviction was reversed on appeal.

这样看来，如果表示在上诉法院，应该用at，如果仅表示上诉阶段或过程中，用on或at都可以。
