哪位大侠能给剖析一下ode和oed和node分别的发展历程？和他们之间是什么关系存在？当代英语权威的“在线牛津词典”（Oxford Dictionaries Online）用的是什么版本的牛津谢谢

Oxford Dictionary of English 跟 Oxford English Dictionary 虽然名字很像，但没有关系。OED 贵在全和精，共计20000多页，是英语世界最全的辞典，一般人用不上，ODE 则是适合大众使用的普通词典。ODE 主要是英式英语，对应的美国英语版本叫 New Oxford American Dictionary (NOAD）。

NODE (New Oxford Dictionary of English) 是 ODE 的曾用名，现在已经去掉 New 了。

Oxford Dictionaries Online 现在叫 Oxford Living Dictionaries，从名字可以看出来，不止是一本词典，主要是以 ODE （英式）为主，辅以 NOAD（美式）、Oxford Thesaurus of English（英式）、和 Oxford American Writer's Thesaurus（美式）。这也是 Mac 和 iOS 系统内置的四本词典。

'The ODE is a single-volume English dictionary published by Oxford University Press, first published in 1998 as The NODE. The word "new" was dropped from the title with the Second Edition in 2003. This dictionary is not based on the OED and should not be mistaken for a new or updated version of the OED. It is a completely new dictionary which strives to represent as faithfully as possible the current usage of English words.'
