Hello,

I converted from babylon Britannica Concise Encyclopedia 2007 version to Mdict. Please help me check is it this version different from (https://www.pdawiki.com/forum/fo ... hread&tid=31275)

I have checked it with that one, and yes, they are the same.

I like the fact that there are both English and Chinese headwords and that links seem to be working quite well. Given that it is an abridged edition ("Concise"), it has its limitation, but that is just the nature of the beast. Compare the search results on "Santo Domingo" between this edition and the 2010 Britannica Encyclopedia (converted from DSL): this edition declares "哥倫布的遺骨即葬於該城" while the full English 2010 edition states "The Columbus Lighthouse (Faro a Colón) reputedly contains the remains of Christopher Columbus (Columbus, Christopher)". We know the whereabouts of the Christopher Columbus' remains has remained a controversy and the authority in Dominican Republic hasn't been willing to provide DNA sample to settle the matter conclusively. That said, i think the headwords of this edition are more comprehensive and/or better structured than the 2010 English edition resulting in higher hit ratio. Good job and thanks!

楼上可以参考《大英简明百科中英对照版》
对应的英文写的其实是——It is the reputed site of the tomb of C. Columbus
所以不应对此书的中文译文过于信赖。
