Architecture is life, or at least it is life itself taking form and therefore it is the truest record of life as it was lived in the world yesterday,as it is lived today or ever will be lived. 对于句子中lived 的用法不好理解，而且，整个句子的具体翻译也比较难，虽然总体意思有一个大体了解。

建筑就是生活，至少（可以认为）是生活的一种体现。它真实记录了生活（的点滴）—— 一如它记载着过往的生活，展现着当今的生活，延续着未来的生活。

"life as it is lived" means the way people go about their daily life
For example, "life as it is lived" today involves watching movies at home, and pooping at home
For example, "life as it is lived" in the Roman Empire involved pooping in public and watching plays at a forum， and instead of toilet paper they used sea shells to wipe their arse

"life as it was lived" = "how life was" / "what life was like"

我认为it 指代前面的Architecture, live 在这里是

4 VERB To live means to be alive. If someone lives to a particular age, they stay alive until they are that age. 活；生存

建筑自己本身无法存活，所以用被动。比如

Architecture is lived by building, integrating the architect and his/her work in the city

我的理解就是生活的意思，前边的是过去完成时态，后边的是将来完成时态

建筑是生命，或者至少它是生命本身的形式，因此它是生命最真实的记录，就像它昨天在这个世界上生活过，就像它今天生活过，或者将会生活过一样。
