doomer 不是一个新词，W3就有：

但是doomer有个新的意思，这次瘟疫在欧美爆发以后热度大增，那就是——认为人类马上要完蛋灭绝的人。喂鸡百科：
A doomer is someone who believes that global problems—including but not limited to ecological exhaustion, such as overpopulation, peak oil, climate change, and pollution—will cause the collapse of civilization, significant human population die-off, and potentially lead to eventual human extinction.[1] The ideology is defined in opposition to more optimistic outlooks on life. Doomers believe that government corruption, civilian apathy, and/or structural oppression are unfixable.[2]

喂鸡词典跟百科的解释略有不同，第一条只说是石油危机，窄了一点；第三条是年纪轻轻，刚满二十，就对世界抱有冷漠敌意态度的人 —— 为什么冷漠敌意呢？其实也是因为他们认为人类难逃危机。释文没说清。
Wiktionary 2019年的论坛版本还没有第3条呢，你们看看这新词新义，多快呀！
话说，doomer 的这个意思太新，一般词典都来不及收，可以理解。不过，doomer的这个新意思是仿boomer来的，又是怎么回事呢？英汉大词典：

这词本来是20世纪初提出来的，是老词，结果从21世纪开始在英语世界又重新流行起来，你们看看美帝人民多么水深火热啊。眼光敏锐的Oxford Dictionary of English收录如下：

结果最爱讲政治（进口别人的词典都要涂黑内容）、曾经最爱用马克思列宁主义革命例句的中国英汉词典/汉英词典，反而没有一家收录late capitalism/late-stage capitalism，没有一家收录「晚期资本主义」，还一个个吹嘘自己查得率高呢！
