宁可人负我，切莫我负人。
　　再三须慎意，第一莫欺心。
　　虎生犹可近，人熟不堪亲。
　　来说是非者，便是是非人。

I'd rather be let down
than let others down.
Make sure that you don't do anything
that goes against the grain.
Friends can be more ferocious
than a tiger sometimes,
don't let your guard down.
He who speaks ill of others
in front of you,
will speak of ill of you
behind your back.

　　虎生犹可近，人熟不堪亲。Be on guard when associating with others, especially with your friends.
　　来说是非者，便是是非人。Someone who gossips about others with you will gossip about you with others.
