关于定冠词 "the" 的使用

下面这段话来自于喂鸡百科，划横线的这几个地方之前为什么没有加 "the" 呢？我觉得应该是要加个the的吧

principle of economy at work here——in the 2nd case, there is already anothe qualifier, namely between 1992 and 2012; in the first case, if there has to be a qualifier, those might be more appropriate, not the.

各有后置定语限定，不加the也是特指。

你的理解正好和我相反。就是因为有定语了，所以才要特指。

都有定语限定了才更应该加the呢啊
