美剧/英剧中有很多是学习英语的极佳材料。

我最推崇的包括 Downton Abbey (英)，还有 House of Cards (美).

下面的片段来自于后者。不难，语速也不快。但包含了两个很有用的表达。

Hi Mxh,

I have no idea. I am watching it (Season 1-4) for a second time. I remember from my first time watching Kevin Sapcey is indeed the protagonist.

The drama is laden with smart lines, a good material for English fans indeed.

This time I am going to make audio notes. Worth the trouble.

Hi Bluenepenthe,

Good job! Yes it should be "have to". I was a bit sloppy...

Plateau is rather common a word, but usually as a noun, eg "I'm afraid my English has hit the plateau. I am just not improving". I guess it's not as common used as a verb such as in this case.
