关于crutch(ed)

21世纪crutch动词用丁字形拐杖支撑，我查了OED，居然只有比喻意义上的支持，好像没有字面意思的。
还有crutched 拄着丁字形拐杖的，好像也没人用这个意思。

和十字架有关的crutched好像是从crouch来的，和crutch关系比较间接，虽然同源。

一本词典查不到，就多查几本：
crutch n. 拐杖 → vt. 用拐杖支撑 → 支持
crutched PP → a. 用拐杖支撑的

我知道有些词典这么写，但我真没看到这么用的，常见的就是crutched friar，OED中动词三个例句都不是字面意思：

transitive. To support as with a crutch or crutches, to prop.

好，OED的crutched的词条看来是写得不好，虽然还没有动词crutch字面意义的例子。
